[comp.sys.ncr] Tower 32 needs software

dat33228@uxa.cso.uiuc.edu (Derek A. Taubert) (11/14/90)

I just purchased a NCR Tower 32 system from a business that had no use
for it anymore for a VERY good price. Unfortunately, the system only has
the Business Base System. To make a long story short, I can't even link
any C programs. Looking at some of the documentation that came with it,
I think I need the Development Module with C libraries and other goodies.

Can anyone tell me where I can get ahold of this software (preferably on
streaming tape) and about how much it will cost me?

Any responses will be appreciated... Thanx in advance.

Well, I've called NCR and talked to their sales reprasentatives, to no avail.
I have a Tower 32/600 that is running the Business Module Release #1.03.
For those of you who this will help, it has an LPID of d509-2255-0000.

NCR reps have told me that the best chance I have of getting software for this
thing is to find someone who had this same software and has since updated it.
I'm looking for D509-2259-00CT, or so I've been told.

Yes, I'm desperate at this point. Any help will be apreciated.
Thanx in advance.
