Sea Change has released new versions of its TCP/+ and Exabyte driver
software. Highlights are as follows:

TCP/+

- the latest version of Sun's RPC library is included
- the "bwnfsd" program from Beame & Whiteside Software Ltd. is
included. This is an improved variation of Sun's "pcnfsd"
program and is used with Beame & Whiteside's BW/NFS client
software for PC's.
- support is provided for booting diskless PC workstations
- the latest version of Berkeley's "bftp" (Batch File Transfer
Program) is included
- the "ttcp" performance measuring tool is included
- other minor enhancements and bug-fixes
- a benchmark report is also available comparing TCP/+ performance
to other TCP/IP implementations available for the TOWER

Exabyte driver
--------------
- a new utility program called "exb" has been added. It is
modelled after the Berkeley "mt" program, and allows the following
functions to be performed on the Exabyte drive:
- space forwards, backwards
- rewind/unload tape cartridge
- erase tape
- show tape status
- etc.
- the "show tape status" function displays the number of read and
write errors, and the amount of tape remaining after the last
write operation. This is useful for monitoring tape quality.
- a "man" page has been added for the above
