[bionet.molbio.genome-program] Atomic force microscope and DNA

john@ghostwheel.unm.edu (John Prentice) (02/16/91)

We are interested in finding out the state of the art in imaging
DNA using either atomic force microscopes or scanning tunneling
microscopes. Are either methods being used by the human genome
problem currently for sequencing DNA? I would appreciate any
information about what is going on with these techniques, what
needs to be done, or just references of where to go to answer
these questions for myself. Many thanks!

John
