The Center for Contemporary Music (CCM) at Mills College in Oakland is hosting
the west coast debut of THE ELECTRONIC MUSIC PLUS FESTIVAL, now in its 18th
year. The festival, a packed week of events from Wednesday, April 3 to
Sunday, April 7, is a showcase for the work of prominent and emerging
composers and other creative artists working with new and exciting
technologies in challenging ways.

This year's festival will feature five concerts of live electronic
performances, five concerts of tape music and video, a panel discussion on
live electronics in performance among several of the invited composers, a
workshop on the innovative computer software package HMSL, and interactive
sound installations at the Prieto Gallery on the Mills campus.

With the exception of the live concerts, all festival events are offered
free to the public. Tickets for live concerts are sold at the door and are
