Product: Lotus Notes
Reference: "InformationWEEK," 11-Dec-89, p.14.
Functionality:
- "intelligent Email package"
- send messages to user(s)
- send documents to user(s)
- post documents to database
- browse documents on database
- authorize user/document access on database
Environment:
- Server software runs on OS/2-based PC-LAN
- Client software runs on MS-DOS or OS/2-based workstations (I am not sure
how powerful said "workstation" must be)
- $65,000 for first 200 workstations, $295 each additional node (For
comparision, the most expensive Email packages run about $200/node.)
If anyone has any first-or-second hand knowlege about Lotus Notes, I would be
interested in verifying and expanding on the above.
