In the March issue of Datamation is an article by Esther Dyson
titled "Why Groupware Is Gaining Ground".

It is mainly an overview of Groupware from a PC point of view, but
still interesting.

What I find particularly curious is the methods that different
experts use to divide up groupware.  Dyson's method is to say that
some groupware applications are Content Intensive (primary goal is
to improve the contents of a work), or Workflow Intensive (primary
goal is to compress the time it takes to create a work).  She notes
that very few products try to do both.
