I called the Dial-a-Shuttle today and caught the middle
of an advertisement for a club of some sort, involving NSI.
For $30/year dues ($18 Jr. member), you can become a member
of this club, receive some magazine, notices of conventions
where you can possibly meet and talk with astronauts, etc.
They also said that a full color poster of the shuttle (I
can't remember if it's the Columbia or Challenger) would be
sent free.
Does anyone have any further info on this club? I'm
very interested, but the recording only gave a toll-free
number to call in order to join. I hesitate to do this
without knowing more about it. By the way, for others
interested who didn't catch the recording, the number is
1-800-453-7000. They said to call only if you are joining.
I would appreciate any information that anyone has on
this.
