Are there any other approaches to the scheduling problem, other than the two listed below: 1) Manual method A scheduler views the participants' calendars and determines the most suitable time. 2) Rule-based method A scheduler writes rules for an agent to automatically locate the most suitable time. Also, what are the advantages/disadvantages of these approaches? Can anyone refer me to papers written on systems that implement the second approach? Thanks. Muru Palaniappan
