Our organization is looking into bringing up an "engineering skills database". The goal is to provide a tool for capturing and communicating information about _which_ engineers have _what_ expertise. The primary use of the tool is expected to be at project-startup time -- when project leaders need to check around for appropriate team members. Does anyone know of any experience, tools, or products that would be useful to us in getting this database running? There are about seventy-five engineers in our organization. They work in a heterogeneous computing environment of Unix, VMS, and Macintosh machines. Most of these diverse machines do communicate via TCP/IP. thanks,
