NASA today announced that STS-7 will launch on 18 June and land
six days later on the concrete runway at KSC. The crew will
be commanded by Capt. Robert L. Crippen (STS-2) and will consist of
Capt. Frederick Hauck, Lt. Col. John M. Fabian, Dr. Norman
Thagard, and Sally K. Ride, America's first woman in space. During
the mission, the crew will deploy two communications satellites
and a West German scientific payload.

I think one title was missed in the list of the crew members for STS-7.
Along with all the other crew members' titles, I believe Sally K. Ride
should have been listed as Dr. Sally K. Ride. -Doug Davey, BTL

I thought Bob Crippen was pilot on the first shuttle launch with
Cmdr. John Young. Is this right? was that sts-2?
