I've just gotten the chance to try out the "fuck you" trick on the MatLab recently installed on the Pawls here at RPI, and sure enough, you get "YOUR PLACE OR MINE" (presumably in basso profundo). A quick peek at the source code also reveals that typing LaLa (any caps) will return "QUIT SINGING AND GET BACK TO WORK". It doesn't seem that much effort was made to conceal either of these tricks; the responses are plain-text and look suspicious. I'm impressed that they've survived so many incarnations.
