I have a perl script which seems to work well most of the time but every now and then it dies with a message like: panic: hint in do_match at /usr/local/sh/ts line 573 Can anyone tell me what could cause this ? Because I can't get it to repeat often enough I can't narrow it down. I looked in the source and it's got something to do with whether a variable called "hint" is defined. It could very well just be a bug in my program but it's about 900 lines of perl, so if someone could give me a starting point I'd be most grateful. Thanks. ------------------ Paul E.
