Columbia achieved its first ever on time launch today at 100 EDT. Sorry for being so late with this, but what good is it if I don't watch five or ten replays? On the way up, I heard in the background someone at mission control say: ``APU thermal problem can also be ignored'' I am assuming that the APU's overheated again, which is coming to be a normal occurrence, but I'm not sure.

At precisely 0719 EST, the Columbia launched from pad 39A at KSC and began its fifth journey into space. The initial ascent was a bit low, due to headwinds, but other than that, everything went picture perfect.
