[comp.lang.perl] Damaged files?

lwv27@CAS.BITNET (03/23/90)

I am attempting to determine if the perl 3.0 package, as appearing in
the comp.sources.misc distribution here in Ohio, is damaged. Could someone
be willing to prepare (and personally, I would like to see it distributed)
a version of MANIFEST with some sort of character size and perhaps a checksum
(please dont do the checksum in perl though - I cannot get the package to
compile).

I was sent a copy of the pat 14 perl kit, but the site it appeared on (my
non-work address see below) ran out of space so it was corrupted there.
And ever since I applied patches 13-15 I can no longer do any of the Make on
a Sparcstation 1, SunOS 4.0.3c and SunOS cc. The make depend from within
Configure has a problem with the gathering of file names. The make depend
from the shell line tells me that the file is damaged.

Sigh.
