The version of yacc that uPort shipped with their software was
compiled with small buffers, or something to that effect.  I also have
3.0e installed.  They had a replacement which didn't suffer from the
same problem available on their bulletin board and also part of the
uPort BBS disk pack.  I hear they're back in business . . . there was
a lot of other stuff on the disk pack that was useful.  As an
alternative, I think I remember seeing a pd version of yacc recently
posted.

For immediate relief, you can do the yacc stuff on some other unix
machine which doesnt' suffer from the same affliction.

If you can't get any help from uPort in getting a good yacc, drop me a
line.
