I am sure that, as individals, most of the readers of this group
would like to see perl part of the UNIX or UNIX-like releases.
Nevertheless the discussion about gnu-software licensing has no
relationship with perl per se. May I suggest to continue it in the
appropriate group which is (I think) gnu.misc.discuss.
