I recently tried to install 'perl' from scratch by first running the
24 kits and then running all 28 patches consecutively.
This results in errors from 'patch' due to some files
that have been renamed along the way. Upon further examination, I found
what appeared to be some points (indicated in the patch file's comments)
that 'Configure -d' MUST be run before proceeding.
I think the order is:
patches 1-12
Configure -d
patches 13-18
Configure -d
patches 19-27
Configure -d
patch 28
Is this right, or is it more or less complicated than this ??
