Not if Perl 4.0 is as described in The Book.  Wait for Perl 5.0. :-)

Tell me about the application that requires multi-dim arrays.  I
chipped my teeth in awk, so I've never really missed them in Perl.  I
s'pose if you're used to having them, you miss'em.
