Hi out there in netland. I'd like to write a small file-browser or so in perl (because of the easier access) and make the screen i/o use curses for user-friendliness. How to combine perl with curses? I have an idea about using perl-libraries and syscall, but I'm not sure at all how to do it. Any hints welcome. BTW: A few weeks ago I posted a question about perl and sysV-shm. I missed the reply due to not being able to read my news. Anybody out there who could mail me any postings that came in reply? I got no mail answers. Thx and regards Mathias PS:The .sig is OLD, but I haven't had time to design a new one yet. The company is now: SIEMENS NIXDORF INFORMATIONSYSTEMS PT LTD in Singapore. Everything else is the same. -- Mathias Koerber |Tel: +65 / 7473828 ext 1852|Fax: +65 / 7474331 Nixdorf Computer Singapore|EUnet: koerber.sin@nixpbe |nerv: koerber.sin 2 Kallang Sector |uunet: uunet!linus!nixbur!koerber.sin Singapore 1334 |[Standard-disclaimer:All views personal... ]

The 'jinx' database package has a curses interface.
<README>
How to get it:
Jinx, a (postscript) jinx tutorial, and cterm are ftp'able from
sol.cs.ruu.nl (131.211.80.5). Look in directory 'pub/UNIX' for the files
'jinx.shar.Z', 'jinx.ps.Z', and 'cterm.shar.Z'.
If you don't have access to ftp, send a message to 'mail-server@cs.ruu.nl'
containing the next 4 lines:
send cterm.shar
send jinx.shar
send jinx.ps
end
The compressed, uuencoded stuff will be sent to you.
Bugs, remarks, etc:
Send bugs and other remarks to 'henkp@cs.ruu.nl'.
