[comp.lang.perl] Okay - it all compiles and loads, but it core dumps

itkin@mrspoc.Transact.COM (Steven M. List) (10/20/90)

So you're all bored with me by now? Me too! :^>~

I've got PERL 3.0 PL36 all built and loaded with only the acceptable
warnings from GCC. It's on SCO XENIX V/386 2.3.3. And when I try
to "make test" I get:

	 chmod +x t/TEST t/base.* t/comp.* t/cmd.* t/io.* t/op.*; \
	cd t && (rm -f perl; ln ../perl .) && ./perl TEST
sh: 7924 Memory fault - core dumped
*** Error code 139 (ignored)

and the stack trace from adb looks like this...

* _strlen(0x1ef6)	from _wait4pid+0x38
_wait4pid()	from _mypclose+0x70
_mypclose()	from _eval+0x83d
_eval()	from _eval+0x46b

HELP! Please! I love PERL, and am distraught by these problems after
installing the Patch 29-36 (sort of 4.0) stuff. Sigh.
