NASA revealed two additional problems with STS-9 yesterday. Apparently, after landing, when the Columbia was being towed off the landing strip, one of the brake assemblies fell apart, much like one did on a previous mission. Also, one of the APU's failed after landing, and another was producing less power than it should have. NASA also hinted that STS-10 might be delayed until the problem with the computers has been discovered and solved; the computers will be shipped to their manufacturer for analysis. Meanwhile, the space agency said that Spacelab had accumulated 2 trillion bits of data on the mission, roughly equal to five percent of the complement at the Library of Congress.
