[comp.lang.perl] op.regexp test 59 loops; patchlevel 44

Environment: SVR3.2.2 (AT&T distribution), AT386

Patchlevel:  Perl 3, patchlevel 44

Problem:     Test 59 in op.regexp fails as a result of unbounded recursion of
	     regmatch().  Tests 44, 45 and 46 also fail, but do not exhibit
	     the same recursion problem.

Note:	     The problem was introduced sometime after patchlevel 12.
	     I'm just now getting caught up.


Any ideas?
