[comp.lang.perl] Ordering an Autographed Book by email/phone/FAX

merlyn@iwarp.intel.com (Randal L. Schwartz) (02/01/91)

I've been swamped with requests for autographed books. Many of you
(especially international users) have asked for a way to just send
money and get the book already signed. Well, here's what I have just
set up in the last two days, with Tim O'Reilly and Larry Wall's
blessing.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
==================================================

TECHbooks bookstore in Beaverton, Oregon, USA, has agreed to be the
official international repository for autographed "Programming Perl"
books. These books are signed by both of the authors: Larry Wall and
Randal L. Schwartz. (Individualized annotations are available but
discouraged.) The cost will be $35 (US) + shipping, to cover the
additional "manufacturing" handling charge. (Quantity discounts may
be available.)

TECHbooks can be reached at:

	phone: (503)646-8257 (international country code +1)
	FAX (G3): (503)248-6320
	Email: info@techbook.com
	US mail: 12600 SW 1st, Beaverton, Oregon 97005 USA

TECHbooks takes major credit cards and cash, and checks drawn on US
banks only.

Be sure to specify the Autographed Edition. TECHbooks also stocks
non-autographed books at the normal price.

==================================================

I am still standing by my offer of signing books that are sent to me,
but I'd rather do it this way if you have the choice. Thanks for
being understanding.
