[net.columbia] sleep in space

derek@sask.UUCP (01/11/84)

First let me apologize to all that take exception to my choice of groups
to which I am posting this. A special mail account has been set up to
receive complaints (sask!flame). Replies should go to sask!derek.

A while back, NASA conducted an experiment in which humans were
placed in a room with no windows or clocks. They were provided
with tasks to perform and given food. They were observed to see
what the "normal" relationship of waking hours to sleeping hours
would be. Does anyone have the results of this study or know
how I can get it? The cycle was sleep for 12 and be awake for
either 24 or 36 hours. Thanks in advance.
