I have just downloaded perl V3.0@44 and have had no trouble configuring and compiling it, but on the Sun4 it fails the self test. It reaches io.fs, and never goes further. This is on a Sun4 sunos4.1, (lots'a'memory and OpenWin) linked with -ldbm -lm. I tried '-O', '-g' and none for the compiler flags, and tried it with AND without the built-in malloc. Nothing helps. If anyone else has had this problem on a Sun4 could you please tell me how to fix it!? I have it working on the sun3 no problem. Thanks. -- Email: david@dogmelb.dog@munnari.oz | Division of Geomechanics, TEL. (03) 881 1355 | CSIRO, P.O.
