[comp.lang.perl] Perl and Molecular Biology

lfk@eastman1.mit.edu (Lee F. Kolakowski) (03/11/91)

Just thought it might be interesting to show some of you how deep into
the worlds psyche perl has gotten. Every day the are new nucleic acid
sequences posted to the newsgroup bionet.molbio,genbank.updates. These
updates are all handled by perl scripts. A fraction of the summary is
included for your humor.

> From: GenBank-Updates@genbank.bio.net (A perl script)
> Newsgroups: bionet.molbio.genbank.updates
> Subject: Index of GenBank Updates from 27-FEB-1991 to 09-MAR-1991
