After applying the patches and running the Configure script, I was able to build perl-4.003 on my AT&T 3B2/600G running SysV R 3.2.2 w/WIN/TCP 3.0.1 It passed all the tests. The only change I had to make was in the Makefile. Configure placed the shared lib, libc_s, at the end of the lib list. It needed to be at the beginning in order to avoid duplicate name errors.
