(It's competing with my billable time, and my credit card balances are *much* too high to simply blow off work.) But, on a good note, I indexed the last chapter last night, and OR&A should have all the text in by the end of the week. Larry's been pullin' a heckuva heavy workload to get this finished in time for delivery by Usenix/Uniforum in January. So far, it looks like we made it. (troff'ing last night generated 325 pages without index or TOC... it's huge.) Stay tuned for the "real" announcement. It's close... just hang in there. print "Just another Perl [book] hacker," -- /=Randal L. See the ad in UNIX WORLD, January 1991, p130. (Can you say $ave?) I just called and placed my order. They told me the book is not yet ready to ship, but should be by early January. Depends, of course, on how you define "finished". It's about twice
as finished as we estimated in August...
Tim & Co. are putting the final tweaks in, and it goes to the printer
this week. I've already got my tee shirt, which is of course the most
important thing.
