A few days ago I posted a message regarding my successful compilation of perl 4.003 on an Encore Multimax runnin UMAXV 2.4. Well I forgot to mention this configure snafu which I just now remembered and thought you all might like to hear about it. When testing the machines ability to cast weird floats, the C program utilized went into an infinite loop catching and ignoring SIGFPE's. I had to kill the process from another shell (after waiting 30 minutes). Configure then said "I guess it can't handle this" or something to that effect and went on its merry way. aside from this, the make went exceedingly well. I am pleased. lenny. ----- Leonard A.
