Last night I attempted to apply the patches to Perl on my machine at home (MS-DOS). After telling it to look at configur.e rather than Configure, it got through the first hunk to be done on that file. Then it went away, and never returned. I intend to just bring the patched source home with me; however, just to satisfy my curiousity, has anyone managed to apply patch 4 under MS-Dos? -- "Bless me, Father; I ate a lizard."
