[soc.religion.islam] Sayyid Qutb

Does anyone know if the books written by Sayyid Qutb can be obtained in the
U.S. ( the original Arabic editions, not the English translations). Also, are
they still banned in Egypt ? I am, of course, referring to the Moslem Brothers
leader persecuted by President Nasser.

Qutb's writings have been most influential on the Islamic political movement
in Egypt including so-called fundamentalist and extremist groups as well as
the mainstream Moslem Brotherhood. According to a book I am currently reading,
Qutb and the Islamic movement in Egypt have been greatly influenced by the
writings of the Pakistani thinker Abu Al-'Alaa Al-Mawdudi. Could someone
provide some information on Mawdudi.

Thanks.
