Dear brothers and sisters, Time magazine's latest issue has outrageous blasphemy of Islam and Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). Please take a minute of your time and $0.25 out of your pocket and send a letter to the editor stating your dislike to what it published about our Prophet. A sample letter written by a brother in Seattle follows. Also please make copies and distribute them to brothers and sisters you know. Bader Univ of Wash, Seattle -----------------------------------------CUT HERE--------------------------- Mr. Edward L. Jamieson, Exec. Editor Time Inc. Time and Life Building Rockefeller Center New York, N.Y. 10020-1393 Dear Mr. Jamieson, As a Muslim, I find Lisa Beyer's reference to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) as having "concubines" extremely offencive (Time, Women: the Road Ahead, Fall, 1990). This is a caustic affront which has no historical evidence. It is a perversion against Muslims' most revered person, a symbol of whom each Muslim exert him/her self to emulate. Or is it another example of media vendetta against Islam? I implore that the Time be more sensitive and avoid such an uncalled-for and inimical blasphemy against Muhammad who said: " the best among you is the one who treats his family best" and "...the most kind to his wife". Thank you. -----------------------------------------CUT HERE---------------------------
