The main engines of the Discovery will be test fired together Friday for the first time. The trial is scheduled to begin at 1100 EST and last for 20 seconds, plenty of time to build up to a full 1.1 million pounds of thrust. After the test, NASA will set a firm date for the launch of 41-D. Target date is 19 June.
