Assalam-O-Alaiqum,
Before I go to the main topic of my message, let me tell you
about myself, so that there is less confusion about my intentions, and maybe
that will reduce the quality and quantity of flames (I won't reply to flames
as I have better things to do). According to my personal list of priorities
I am a Muslim first then a Pakistani and then a Punjabi. So please look at
the rest of my message in the light of the above statement.
In my view, the movement of Pakistan and Sudan towards establishing an
Islamic system is VERY IMPORTANT. We (or maybe its only me) don't know the real
intentions of the people who are running these two countries at the moment. It
could be that they are doing it just for their own political gains, or they can
also be sincere in their efforts. The case of Abdula bin Ubai(sp?), the
greatest hypocrite in Islamic history, and how prophet Mohammad (PBUH) treated
him shows very clearly that only Allah can judge our intentions, while we,
being human are to judge on the basis of ones actions. So being Muslims we
have to look at their actions and see if they are in accordance with Islam or
not. If they are against Islam then we should condemn them and if they are
pro-Islam then we should help them. It is with this intention, that I propose
to all the Islamic minded people on the net, to do any one or any combination
of the following:
Write a letter, make a phone call, send a telegram, fax etc, to the
embassies of both Pakistan and Sudan congratulating them on the efforts of
their governments to further the process of Islamization. Tell them that your
prayers are with them in their SINCERE (if they are) efforts.
This is important, because the people on the other side (anti-Islam),
are engaged in anti-Islam propaganda, and are constantly criticising the
Islamic movements and the people associated with these movements. So in time
like this, the pro-Islam people and there actions need our moral support.
The above mentioned action can be done by individuals, but will be
better if done by Islamic centers.
Even though my finals are fast approaching, but I will try to reply
to sane comments, where as the flames will endup in /dev/null. So please
don't overload the net with unnecessary stuff.
Wasalam
Nadeem
