I think that this has been a very informative thread so far. I want to share with you all what really got me started wondering about it. 1. The statement made by many that "Christians and Jews pray to God, Muslims pray to Allah" 2. The following passage that I read in a dime store novel: The hero and heroine (British) are in a tough spot in the Middle East. Hero: "Pray to Allah that we will get out of this alive". Heroine (thinking) "I will not pray to Allah but to God to whom I have prayed my whole life". These two things made me think that the people who said/wrote them didn't know what they were talking about. I think that statement number one should be "Christians, Jews, and Muslims pray to God" and statement number two is contradictory. What do you all think? Susan Sinnott
