[soc.religion.islam] A question...

ee8kag@gdt.bath.ac.uk (K A Goatman) (05/24/91)

I am doing a small study into the attitudes of members of one faith
towards the *beliefs* (not the individual believers) of another faith.
In particular between Christians, Jews and Muslims.

How do Muslims view the beliefs of the other faiths listed above and
to what level could there be co-operation?

I am thinking particularly of a service of remembrance for the Gulf War
at Glasgow Cathedral in the UK where Christians, Jews and Muslims were
present and excerpts were read from the Jewish scriptures, the Christian
New Testament and the Qu'ran. How do you feel about this?

I realise that there will inevitably be a variety of views on the subject
and I will be grateful for any e-mail expressing your point of view
and a justification for it (from the Qu'ran or other).

Thank you in advance for your help in advance,

Keith Goatman
