[soc.religion.islam] What a Democratic Way?

cza@prefect.cc.bellcore.com (Captain Midnight) (06/25/91)

Since I know fairly what goes on there and I didn't want to be part
of it at all, I never had any interest to follow S.R.I.
or post there. Therefore, I had no idea that it was moderated. Great!
Why then those solemn devoted followers do spill "those discussions"
to other group by engaging every act that they prohibit
in S.R.I.? While S.R.I exists, are there any place for the "
place of women in Islam or justification of four wifes in Islam"
discussion in soc.culture.turkish and provide their "vaaz" to
soc.culture.turkish followers whenever they grab the chance?
What does justify this malice? Do they have any right to tell me I
should use "n" or "k" button when I complain, if they do not want to
do same in their news group? Is this the democratic order which they
yearn not only for Turkiye but all over the world? I know,
this is a force of habit on their part. They always
need a "Sheh-ul-Islam or Haliphe to decide and approve for them.

Well, after reading the lengthy discussions on why S.R.I
news group is moderated, everybody should judge how tolerated those
people are. However, I protest their act strongly that stirs
soc.culture.turkish without any hesitation. There is a great Turkish
saying for this hypocrisy: "Imam verir talkimi, kendi yutar
salkimi." Let one of the muslim brother translate
this "iktibas" in S.R.I. (if it can go there of course.)

P.S.: My words goes to the "intellectuals" of soc.culture.turkish
as well. Please utilize all the amenities of S.R.I
to the fullest extend, without inviting any religious
discussions to here for your pleasure. Why should I
waste my time to bother with "n" or "k" keys if the follower
of S.R.I spare from this task and bearing of free posting.
