[rec.skydiving] Do we need alt.sport.bungee ?

barrey@frodo.novell.com (Barrey Jewall) (12/07/90)

With all the fierce discussion going on over alt.sport.bungee, I thought it
would be a good idea to point out that even in the summer, (when one would
expect it to be highest), the traffic in rec.skydiving is rarely over 6 or 7
posts per day, and bungee jumpers seem to be quite welcome there...

After all, many people do both, and in any case, anyone who is willing to leap
from any fairly stable platform voluntarily, for fun, is certainly the same type of person who has an interest in both.

Anyway, why don't you try out rec.skydiving for awhile, and if the traffic
increases or whatever, either do a regular group (NO, NOooooo, not news.groups!)(Please spare me from the endless stream of articles there....) - , or
just create an alt group if you don't want to bother with the usual
news.groups tirade....

Anyway, just a thought-
