[rec.skydiving] Neophyte wondering

kskelm@happy.colorado.edu (12/12/90)

   Hello everyone!

My school (UCCS- Go Buffs!) just got full access to the groups, and
I'm explorin'...

I have never skydived before, but I am interested in getting into it.

Could someone tell me what I can expect to pay for

   Lessons?

   Equipment?

   Air time/jump?

   Etc?

I am in the Colorado Springs (that's Colorado) area... know of anyplace
around here dealing with it? (OTHER than the AF Acad.!)

     Thanks for your time,

           Kevin

For skydiving in Colo springs area, just look in the yellow pages
under Parachuting.
There is also a DZ at 30 miles NE of Colo sprgs at
calhan Airport. 719-591-1478; 347-9998.

Skydive Colorado here in Ft. Collins is a good bet. Long track
record, tandem, AFF, twin Beech. I think there's also some kind of
skydiving "club" there in Colorado Springs, but I'm not as familiar
with it. If you want more info, show up for the Labor Day balloon
launch and ask one of the jumpers after they land.
