[rec.skydiving] Novice looking for info

smiles@ferrari.nmc.ed.ray.com (Kevin Ruddy) (05/13/91)

I've convinced myself that I should go skydiving this summer. Does
anyone have any good pointers? I'm looking for magazines and 'dive
areas in Massachusetts.

I'm also concerned about accidents and so forth. (I have no idea what
the rates are; the media pretty much hacks everything up ...) Does
anyone have any real statistical information?

Thanks in advance -- I'd really like to try it!

Turners Falls, MA has a good skydiving center. Look in the yellow
pages under P for Parachute. Statistics are very good, contact United
States Parachute Ass. in Alexandria, VA for magazine and other info.
