Here is a non legend. A friend used to wear his parachute on his back while rideing to the DZ on a motercycle. He stuck a extra pin through the closing loop when he did this to ensure that there would be no premature deployment while on the way. He always removed the pin when he got to the DZ. Well, one day it started raining as he was driving along on his bike. He stopped at a friends house to avoid the weather, and ended up getting a car ride to the DZ from there. A bit of brain lock followed since he didn't arrive via bike, and he forgot to remove the pin. His next skydive ended in a pilot chute in tow malfunction and a reserve ride. Ej OBUL: Craig Shergold(sic) lives in Tennessee somewhere, and is still collecting postcards, or so says a flyer being distributed to various engineering groups at UF lately.
