A mock countdown was delayed today by three hours when an engine computer refused to receive a program from ground computers. After the trouble had been solved, the countdown continued, ending with a simulated abort mimicking the engine cutoff abort in June. NASA said that the particular abort is a standard part of all simulated countdowns, and that is was just a coincidence that it mirrored the June abort.
