To those of you reading this message with access to the Internet: Following a suggestion in vmsnet.tcp.multinet I have set up an experiment. My node (mvb.saic.com [139.121.19.1]) is now serving a disk containing DECUS software via NFS. I have removed all read access restrictions from this disk thus making it available to anyone on the Internet. This disk is exported under the name "DECUS" and provides access to 3 different directory trees: [S90...] - Spring '90 VAX & L&T Sig tape [F89...] - Fall '89 VAX, L&T, & RSX Sig tape [DECUS...] - DECUS starter kit as of Spring '90 These directory trees are exact copies of what was on the DECUS tapes themselves (except that, in some cases, some files may be already decompressed). I'd appreciate any feedback anyone has on this. If no one is able to make use of it, I will return it to a local only service. Mark Berryman Mark.Berryman@Mvb.Saic.Com
