I didn't even know about the first one until someone asked me about it and kindly explained how to decode it. As many people here know, I am a law librarian/paralegal, whoever did post the two forgeries made the fatal mistake of assuming that I know enough about the mechanisms by which the messages were created when in fact, I do not. Besides, Richard Sexton is my best friend on the net, why would I do such a thing to him? And why would I deliber- ately point the message back to myself? Richard and I have discussed this via phone and email and we have nar- rowed it down to two people. We are working on the assumption that it was written by someone who has been on the net long enough to remember seismo and jj@portal, who knows a fair amount about Richard and who has a motive. It's pretty obvious to me who did it but I won't say anything until we know for sure. > I don't think he's one of the regulars in >alt.flame, because they wouldn't be able to create such an eminent forgery! On the contrary, nearly all eminent forgeries are created by alt. flame regulars.
