Some of you may remember I was asking about TCP/IP sources recently (in particular 4.2BSD sources) to splice into SunOS 3.2. I've since heard from several folks that the 4.2BSD TCP stuff is probably not much better than the Sun stuff, if at all; while it'd still be nicer to have sources to modify, I guess I have to agree. However: Some kind soul sent me mail about the prospect of getting some sort of in-progress kit of 4.3 TCP sources; perhaps something generated by Van Jacobsen et. al. in the process of doing the protocol rewrite. In any event, this person described it as "designed to fit into SunOS 3.0-5; in fact, I've used it in just that way" or words to that effect. I immediately replied "Yes, yes, send them, please!" and then foolishly deleted the mail message. Well, the sources never arrived, so this is a public plea to the original offeror...please repeat your offer! I'm still desperate for this source..
