Help! I am in need of sports team roster preparation and scheduling software for youth leagues. My son is in soccer and baseball and neither league can get it quite right. The software can be for Unix or DOS. In "C", Pascal, are my preferences but, most anything else will do, Dbase, Lotus, FORTRAN, COBOL, etc... First I need the software to input the data from sign-up sheets (both players and officials), school, nearest park, age, parent who will coach or be an official, name, address, etc... and build a database(used as a generic term). Next I need software that will use this data to suggest team assignments trying for an even number of teams, making sure there is a coach, and letting some one take care of problems too complex for it. Then I need software to handle scheduling of fields and officials, making sure only one game is on each field in each time slot, every game has the right number of officials, taking into account what age can use which fields, making sure parents who are officials don't get games that conflict with their child's game. Finally, software to print team rosters, schedules, and official's schedules.
