[alt.sources.wanted] Looking for a horoscope

lane@cs.dal.ca (John Wright/Dr. Pat Lane) (10/22/90)

Subject line pretty much says it all.

I had one in Fortran for an old mainframe that spit all the numbers
(it didn't attempt to draw the chart) but they scrapped that machine
and I figure it's too much work to re-work the program for the PC.

I was curious if there was anything out there in the PD/Shareware
world.

I was amazed that there is no astrology/para-normal newsgroup on the
net, given all the other wacko stuff going on out there.

An excellent hint:

Use one of these cookie/fortune programs, and replace the text database
by some good horoscopical predictions, If your fantasy is dead you can
always get some nice texts from newspapers, lady-magasines, and other
garbage sources..

I garant You that it will be an excellently working system - may be it can
even hit Nostredamus (or however he spelles himself)...

Discounting mailing lists (ahem), there are several newsgroups given to
talks along paranormal lines: alt.pagan, talk.bizarre, and sci.skeptic, to name
a diverse few.
