I have some .man files from a source code package. I would like to
get a PD man to print them out; I'm curious about the codes. Is this
some kind of standard format code?

I have a pretty sophisticated man program you can, but it won't do you much good without nroff. For that, you could get 'awf', the Amazingly Workable Formatter, which is Henry Spencer's awk (!!!) rewrite of "nroff -man" (and a bit of "nroff -ms"). To get the man program, you can anon ftp from tut.cis.ohio-state.edu in pub/perl/scripts/tchrist/man/*, or mail me. To get the awf program, it came to comp.sources.unix as: Submitted-by: henry@zoo.toronto.edu Posting-number: Volume 23, Issue 27 Archive-name: awf --tom -- Tom Christiansen tchrist@convex.com convex!tchrist "With a kernel dive, all things are possible, but it sure makes it hard to look at yourself in the mirror the next morning." -me
