So who's going to write xlava: the lava lamp simulator?

Others to think about:
xbob.  	Essentially xeyes within a picture of Bob.  Every so often 
       	some smoke will come out of his pipe.

xstopped-clock.  It'll be right twice a day.  More if the time stoppage
	project gets off the ground.

xbiff.  When you get new mail a message will pop up saying 
       "D00D!  NEW MAIL!".  25 times.

xcrust -- simulates tectonic plate movement by grinding your desktop
	diagonally upwards into your menu bar at the rate of one pixel per year


xram -- simulates late capitalism on your workstation, culminating in
	object class warfare, finite state control of the means of rule
	production, and the withering away of the OS
