SEN. GARN WILL HELP FILL MEDICAL DATA GAPS

U.S. Sen. Jake Garn (r.-Utah) will conduct a number of simple medical
tests in orbit that will help fill in data gaps created when many
previous shuttle crewmen were unable to devote full attention to
space adaptation testing because of their other flightcrew duties.

Marshall Flight Center fluids mixing separation techique...

Garn has several medical science tests to perform, including
Gastric motility
Space motion sickness (Good ol' barfin' Jake)
Fluid shifts
Performance
Drug monitoring
Parallel swing tests (before and after)
